Krusty Memories

If you went to any Christian music gig in New Zealand from the mid to late 90's then you remember Krusty.  At the time they were appearing on every concert lineup across the country and nobody was complaining, these guys definitely knew how to shake up a room.

A feel good, party band at heart, you got the idea they were just doing it for kicks, yet they consistantly upstaged the more serious bands on the bill.  Naysayers may have moaned about their singing, but no one could deny their pure energy and command of a stage, or the refreshingly good theology in their lyrics.

No doubt about it, these guys were a treat to see live. You could be sure at some point the whole crowd would be singing along or chanting the catchy choruses, but unfortunately, all good things come to an end.  People grow up and the time for rocking the party is over.  Who knows what the band members are up to now.  They're probably blending in with the rest of us mere mortals. Married perhaps? Fathers maybe? Heaven forbid they might even have mortgages.  But thankfully, they did leave behind recordings of most of their material for us to remember them by.

And so I present to you "Krusty Memories." A place to listen to your old favorite band.  It has to be said that these recordings dont really do the band justice.  Live was where they really shined, but at this stage we might have to wait until the next life before we ever see them live again.

Thanks for the good times Krusty, and for some fun and sturdy Christian music, wherever you are.
